WHITETAIL CROSSING’S BIG BUCK CONTEST RULES OF ENTRY

  • 1. Contest Dates are from November 18, 2017 – November 26, 2017. Store Location 1st Place $200, 2nd Place $100 at each store.
  • 2. Whitetail Crossing’s Big Buck Contest is open to all Wisconsin hunters who legally harvested a whitetail deer in the state of Wisconsin during the 2017 gun deer hunting season. The deer must be accompanied by a 2017 Wisconsin buck tag and the hunter’s Wisconsin hunting license accompanied by a Wisconsin State or Tribal photo ID. All areas of the registration card must be filled out to validate entry, except for the Guardian Section of the card if entrant is over the age of 18.
  • 3. The deer must have been harvested under free range conditions and not in any enclosed high fence area or any other unfair situation.
  • 4. There is no cost to enter a deer in the Whitetail Crossing’s Big Buck Contest.
  • 5. Hunters may enter (1) legally harvested buck, in the 2017 Wisconsin 9 day gun season. (Cannot enter same buck at more than one Whitetail Crossing store location)
  • 6. Entries will be accepted no later than 7 p.m., Sunday, November 26, 2017.
  • 7. All entrants under the age of 18 MUST have a parent or legal guardian sign their form stating they approve of the under-aged entrant to participate and abide by all rules of the contest.
  • 8. Hunter must be present while deer is photographed by store staff at store premises and fill out photo release form and contest entry form. Only the person harvesting that buck shall be eligible to enter that same buck, carcass tags will be used to verify.
  • 9. Entry to contest can only happen at the stores premises, this includes 5 stores at 5 different locations in Wisconsin: Baraboo, Black River Falls, Nekoosa, Tomah and Wittenberg. Store staff will offer a registration and release of information form where entrants will enter their information and store staff takes the photo of hunter and their harvested deer, this digital photo will be used and posted online, and can be included on the local stores brag board.
  • 10. Any unforeseen circumstance where an entry is not possible at the time entrant is present at the store will be encouraged to return at another time to get their entry submitted, although entry is not guaranteed although store staff will do their best to get entry logged and photographed. Any unreasonable conduct or confrontation will not be tolerated and will make any invitation of entry withdrawn to that individual.
  • 11. Deer will be judged by a panel of Ho-Chunk Nation Employee volunteers thru photo entries.
  • 12. By participating in the Big Buck Contest entrants and winners agree to give Whitetail Crossing and the Ho-Chunk Nation the right to promote, market and publish the names of the winners. All photos of the hunter/deer and name will be used for advertising and publicity in any and all forms of media without further permission or additional compensation.
  • 13. By participating in the Big Buck Contest, entrants agree to comply with all rules of the contest and all decisions of the Whitetail Crossing’s Big Buck Contest panel and all decisions of the contest panel will be final. Whitetail Crossing reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Big Buck Contest at any time, and for any reason that it may determine in its sole discretion. Whitetail Crossing and the Ho-Chunk Nation managing staff reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any entrant, and remove such entrant’s entry from the buck contest, who tampers with the entry process or the operation of the Big Buck Contest, or causes another to do so, or who acts in violation of these Rules or any applicable law or regulation.
  • 14. By participating in the Big Buck Contest, entrants release, acquit, and forever discharge Whitetail Crossing and the Ho-Chunk Nation and their respective officers, directors, members, employees, agents, successors and assigned volunteer workers, employees and owners (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all matter of claims, demands, damages, losses, judgments, liabilities, obligations, actions or causes of action which an entrant and his/her heirs and personal representatives ever had, has, may have, or claim to have against the Released Parties, for, upon, or by reason of any matter, act, or thing related to Whitetail Crossing’s Big Buck Contest.
